The feature film by Santiago Esteves, produced in Mendoza with Chilean participation, tells the story of two brothers and their connection with the mafia through a captivating intrigue.

in the movie “The Revenants”which is now being released, two brothers, one less good than the other, provide the mafia accountant with a medical preparation that will make him appear dead for a short time, long enough so that he can later reunite without problems with his beloved little money. And his family, for that matter. As we will see, things are going to get complicated. Will everything go wrong? Suspense.
First merit: this is a very original police filmthe characters are well worked, well interpreted and properly accompanied, the effects are simple, but always praiseworthy (that shot in the back of the head where the bullet comes out of the eye!), the gangsters are credible, all Lombrosian profiles, family life and more or less fraternal discord enter the logic and enrich the plot, the rhythm maintained, the duration well tight, and so on every detail, until it is properly finished. In short, a more than commendable job.
Second merit: this police film is primarily from Mendoza, as is its director, for the most part the technicians and cast performers, and, of course, the places where it was filmed, in Uspallata, Potrerillos, the route that leads to Chile and the sides of that route.
There is Chilean co-production, the “good brother” is Chilean, Pedro Fontainebut he plays the role with a Cuyo accent worked with a coach, in short, what is called authentic regional cinema, a good example of the wealth that we also have in the interior of the country. Wealth that emerges when there is talent and when, as in this case, there is a local organization in support of the small audiovisual industry in the province.
A demerit: between the first film of Esteves and this, which is the second, eight years passed. It costs too much to get the money. The first, some will remember, is called “The Education of the King”the story of a petty thief who progresses in the trade thanks to the teachings of a retired police officer. Also filmed in Mendoza, and good too.
