The “BA Harvest” is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Production, through the BA Gastronomic Capital program, the Ministry of Culture of the City, the Ministry of Government and the Tourism Entity, together with the Government of Mendoza.
About the Wine District
The Wine District is located between the neighborhoods of Villa Devoto, La Paternal and Villa del Parque and its objective is that different referents of the country’s wine world settle in the City through the opening of wine bars, cellars and tasting centers, wine schools, sales showrooms, training and different gastronomic experiences.
The creation of the Wine District is a public-private commitment and for the City it represents an opportunity to integrate with the wine-producing regions, becoming the headquarters and promoter of one of the emblematic and federal products of the country such as Argentine wine as national brand.
Mendoza, cradle of wine
Meanwhile, in Mendoza, locals and tourists will enjoy the National Grape Harvest Festival this weekend. Today’s day includes, from 10 pm, the traditional parade of the Vía Blanca, with the grape harvest representatives from each of the 18 departments that will compete for the national title.
Tomorrow, at 10 o’clock, the most popular of the grape harvest festivities will begin: ‘El Carrusel’, another parade of cars with their departmental Queens full of color, music and tradition. At 10 pm, at the Frank Romero Day Greek Theater, the Central Act will be “Miracle of New Wine”, a staging with 750 artists on stage under the direction of Vilma Rúpolo and Federico Ortega.
After the election and coronation of the National Queen and Viceroy of the Harvest 2022, the traditional Serenade to the Queens will be held on the esplanade of the Culture building, with performances by artists from Mendoza, in a tribute to women.
On Sunday 6, also from 10 pm, it will be the turn of the Second Night, with the repetition of Milagro del vino nuevo and musical shows with artists from Mendoza and national guests with Abel Pintos closing, while for the closing of the Third Night will feature the presence of Nicki Nicole.
