Indio Solari published an ironic image to refer to war and information

Among the big headlines of the publication can be read the news “Occupation begins” and “De Gaulle hailed in New York.”

Precisely, the way of expressing himself through indications, without appealing to the discursive, was one of the topics that he had addressed in the telephone conversation that El Indio had held yesterday on a Spanish radio station with the renowned presenter Vicente Mariskal Romero.

“Sometimes people annoy me, they don’t understand the lyrics, and I tell them that they have to be grateful if I get to move them, as they say I move them, without going through the customs of understanding. Understanding is a more complex thing” , had sentenced.

And expanded: “Besides, if you make a song that is meant to be understood, once the public has understood it, do they have to understand it again and again? No, it is better to have ambiguous lyrics that can be interpreted in different ways, in different moments of someone’s life. And I think that is the key by which it has passed from parents to children, and grandchildren already, the entire songbook of mine and Los Redondos, which is shared with Skay”.

Just as yesterday he had come out at the crossroads of those who question the cryptic character of his lyrics, today he seems to have redoubled the bet by taking a stand on a burning issue from an ironic image that requires deconstruction for an unequivocal reading.

In yesterday’s talk, El Indio had also been sharp when he warned that because he was an independent artist he was being attacked with accusations of being a “left-wing millionaire.”

“The right accuses me that I am a left-wing millionaire but, in reality, when you casually make an independent production, you have to fight against the power too, because if they don’t cut you down and leave you dry,” he said.

The former leader of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota spoke with the Spanish radio host on the occasion of the imminent visit of his band Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado to the Iberian country, in concerts where he himself will be present virtually.

The tour of The Fundamentalists of Air Conditioning will pass through Barcelona on March 31, on April 2 it will stop in Palma, on the 7th it will do the same in Madrid, on the 8th it will be the turn of Valencia and on the 9th it will close in Malaga.

“You are going to see a band of the reputed mother. Honestly, it is not because it is the band that has accompanied me in these years, I am convinced that it is the band that has the best live sound of all the ones I have seen here in my life in Argentina”, El Indio anticipated Spanish listeners.

And he narrowed down: “I don’t remember a band that sounds so entrenched, so involved, so well. Because they are musicians who put the emotion, which is what we artists must transmit”.

The artist remarked that “I would recommend this band above the affection I have for them”, defined its musicians as “champions of their instrument and their role” and celebrated that “they have found their repertoire as a glue”, “with which They are very emotionally involved.”

He also pointed out that Los Fundamentalistas interpret songs by Los Redondos “improved because the sound has progressed”: “Los Redondo’s first albums don’t excite me much, apart from the fact that the songs are fresh and were good at the time, because the quality we had as an independent band was very poor”he acknowledged.

In another passage of the talk, El Indio reflected on his fame and agreed to ignore the reasons why he has popular affection.

“Some famous writer said that his fame was due to a series of misunderstandings. Honestly, one does not know why people want it that way. One is the one who most ignores why people want it,” he said.

Referring to his state of health, the musician, who suffers from Parkinson’s, defined it as “a very fucked up, disabling disease” and accepted that he is “on the way to that”.

“I’m on my way to that, to the progression of success that Professor Parkinson is having with my life,” he ironized, and then confessed: “I don’t feel like shaking, but they give me contractures and I’m like a plaster dwarf”.

“I can imagine what happens to a guy who has the same illness as me and doesn’t have a kinesiologist, or apomorphine, or a pool with warm water to do his elongation exercises. It must be an infinitely greater illness and on top of that, I think, in a couple of years he takes it,” he lamented.

When asked how this disease affected his head, the artist replied with a laugh: “Friends tell me I’m fine.” More serious, he revealed: “I honestly feel good, I get very distracted by work, which is the way to get rid of body pain, but when I stop doing it, the blow comes and it’s not sopita. It’s a fucking disease but At the moment, it doesn’t stop me at all from doing what I like”.
