Travis Scott wants to do his part to heal from the Astroworld tragedy, so he announced Project HEAL on Instagram.
Travis Scott (30) has spoken out for the first time in months. On Tuesday, the rapper announced a new project called HEAL on Instagram.
“Over the past few months, I’ve taken the time and space to grieve, reflect, and do my part to heal my community,” Scott said in his new post regarding November’s Astroworld disaster. At the festival in Houston, Texas, there was a mass panic during a performance by the rapper, who is one of the initiators of the event. Ten people died and hundreds more were injured, some seriously.
Now he wants to use his resources and his platform to bring about change. “This will be a lifetime journey for me and my family.”
Turn events into safe spaces
The victims of the Astroworld tragedy will forever remain in his heart, Scott said. “My team and I created Project HEAL to take much-needed action to support real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can be.”
there is more information about the project. A million dollars goes to “Black Colleges” for student scholarships. The Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund aims to support students with financial problems. Waymon Webster was Scott’s grandfather, who was himself an educator, and is said to have had a great influence on Scott. Another project of the HEALS initiative is a free mental health program. A total of five million dollars are said to flow into the project.
