Ukraine: Evelyn Burdecki and Oliver Pocher help at the border

Evelyn Burdecki recently traveled to the Ukrainian border to help refugees. From there, the former jungle queen reported highly emotionally.

Together with Oliver Pocher and Mola Adebisi, Evelyn Burdecki drove to the Ukrainian border to help there. As Pocher explains in a video on Instagram, Burdecki contacted him and asked if he had any ideas on how to help the fugitives. She herself has Polish parents and family in the country that is currently taking in the most refugees.

Burdecki reported on her impressions on Instagram. “What I saw here I will not forget for the rest of my life. I have never had such pain, such anger, such helplessness in my whole life,” she said. The sight of the many children who made the journey across the border was particularly bad for her. “It’s so cold outside, really! Well, we’re still wearing thick jackets, but there are some children here, as you can see, they just want a warm bed,” said Burdecki.

The TV actress also asked her 730,000 followers to donate as well. “It must be helped. And not tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but now,” she said.

It’s not just about clothing donations

Pocher explained that they even drove across the border to help people. There are already a lot of donations in kind at the border, he explained, but “how do you get the things to Ukraine?” In a neutral zone, directly behind the border, the donated goods were reloaded and transported to Ukraine, the comedian revealed.

The people in the areas of Ukraine affected by war and violence need our help. The stern foundation works with local partner organizations that we have checked. We will forward your donation without deduction. This link will take you directly to our donation form.

It’s not just about food, but also about generators or things like chainsaws or axes “to somehow defend yourself or set up roadblocks,” said Pocher. “I admire Ukraine and the calm and serenity with which the women and children arrived,” stressed Pocher.
