The book
There are almost 100 pages, divided into 12 chapters, each dedicated to a special object in the sky that can be seen with the naked eye. Ezequiel confirms: “The best thing astronomy gave me is being able to share it. That’s what I want to do with 12 Night Stories: that we travel together between Nordic mythologies and surprised lovers, between murderous planets and meteor showers. That you go out to meet the universe and discover that wonderful movie that the firmament gives us every night”.
Each of those 12 chapters actually contains many more stories. In the first, the three brightest stars in the night sky are discovered. In the second, a very special star in the Centaurus constellation is magically linked with Isaac Newton. In the third, the secrets of the supermoons are revealed. The fourth connects the trip of Apollo 11, which led humanity to step on our natural satellite, with an old novel by Jules Verne. In the fifth, the meteor showers and the most famous comet cross their paths. In the sixth they meet the planet Saturn, how to see it with the naked eye and everything it has to say.
In the seventh the visit is to Jupiter. In the eighth Mars and Venus are mixed in a story of passion and betrayal. In the ninth Orion’s belt tells the story of the three most famous stars in the sky. In the tenth, a lot of constellations intersect: Scorpio, Orion, Taurus, Canis Major; all telling a great story. In the eleventh the protagonist is the Southern Cross and in the twelfth and last chapter, extraterrestrial life is discussed.
