The victory was clear, his joy was enormous. In the morning (German time), Alexander Zverev achieved the greatest triumph of his tennis career to date. In two sets he defeated the Russian Karen Khachanov in the final of the men’s singles.

In Germany, Zverev’s ex-girlfriend, model Brenda Patea, cheered in front of the TV. In her Instagram story, the former “Germany’s Next Top Model” candidate posted a short clip of herself in front of the TV, holding their daughter Mayla in her arms. “Congratulations Papa,” wrote Patea. In another story, she posted a screenshot from her cell phone. On it you can see: Zverev with his gold medal in hand, as he speaks with the little one in the video call.
“She can tell you something later,” writes Brenda Patea about the recording. Little Mayla was born on March 11th of this year. Patea announced the pregnancy in October last year, the separation from Zverev was a few weeks ago.

“Even if Brenda and I are no longer together, we have a good relationship and I will live up to my responsibility as a father. We will take care of the little person who is growing up together,” said Zverev a short time later on Instagram. The posting has now been deleted.
The model herself had already commented on the subject of custody. “I have no contact with Alex, but if he tries to contact the child, I will not prevent it – on the contrary,” said Patea. Apparently, the two have now become friends. For the good of the daughter.
