“Spider-Man: No way home”, the most watched film in the history of Argentine cinemas

According to official records, “Wild Tales” (2014), from Damian Szifron it reached 3.9 million; “The clan” (2015), from Paul Trapper at 2.6 million, and the Oscar-winning “The Secret in Their Eyes”from John Joseph Campanellaat 2.4 million, are the most viewed Argentine films.

Other of the most viewed films in Argentine territory were “The Robbery of the Century” (2020), directed by Ariel Winograd (2 million), “Nazareno Cruz y el lobo” (1975), by Leonardo Favio (3.3 million), “The Saint of the Sword” (1970), by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson, and “Juan Moreira” (1973), by Leonardo Favio, (2.41 million).

As for international films, the animated ones are the ones that follow “Spider-Man…”: “Finding Dory” takes second place with 3 million viewers; “Ice Age 5” garnered 2.6 million viewings in theaters and “The Secret Life of Your Pets” attracted 2.4 million people, according to data from the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (Incaa).
