The American rapper Fetty Wap mourns his daughter. Lauren Maxwell was only four years old. It is not the only stroke of fate that the musician suffered.
She was only four years old: The US rapper Fetty Wap mourns the loss of his daughter Lauren Maxwell. This was announced by mother Turquoise Miami on Instagram. “This is my wonderful, beautiful, funny, lively, loving, talented, clever and headstrong mermaid princess,” wrote the mother, and posted a video showing the little one splashing in the swimming pool. Her followers asked her to say “I love you, Lauren” to herself, “because it is said that souls can feel your love”. Lauren Maxwell apparently died at the end of June, nothing is known about the cause of death.
Fetty Wap was born Willie Maxwell II on June 7, 1991 in Paterson, New Jersey. He made music as a child, initially singing in church. He later came to hip hop – and in 2014 became world famous with his song “Trap Queen”. He made it into the top ten in the USA and Great Britain. The self-titled album “Fatty Wap”, released a year later, even reached number 1 in the charts in America. In 2016 the musician was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Trap Queen”.

Even if the big successes did not materialize in the following years, Fetty Wap continues to make music. Most recently, he performed at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, July 23-25. According to the “People” magazine, he is said to have dedicated the appearance to his deceased daughter. In his Insta story he wrote: “LoLo daddy did that s – for you last night baby girl,” reports the celebrity magazine.
It’s not the only stroke of fate that the rapper has suffered in the past twelve months. His brother died last October. Fetty Wap has five other children: Aydin, 10, Zaviera, 6, Khari, 5, Amani, 5, and Zy, 3.
