On Monday she would have been in the trial against Arafat A.-Ch. to testify before the Berlin regional court: Anna-Maria Ferchichi – sister of Sarah Connor and wife of the rapper Bushido. But the 39-year-old, who testified under personal protection on the witness stand in June, did not appear. In the afternoon Bushido announced why. And sent a dramatic message.
“Since we may have to bury one of our unborn children, I ask for your understanding that music currently has no place in my life,” said the singer on the short message service Twitter. Ferchichi is expecting triplets, her pregnancy is considered a risk pregnancy.
On the fourth day of the trial a few weeks ago, Bushido’s wife was unable to testify. Because of “complications” the lawyer announced succinctly at the time. One of the defense attorneys now stated that, in his view, the medical certificates presented so far were not sufficient to justify an incapacity to stand trial. That was before Bushido declared the seriousness of the situation on Twitter.
In any case, the court announced that another testimony from Anna-Maria Ferchichi was not to be expected before November – that is, clearly after the calculated due date, the court apparently has no doubts about any certificates.
Bushido is considered a key witness in the process
The trial of clan chief Arafat A.-Ch. alleged crimes to the detriment of rapper Bushido started in August 2020 and has been going on for a year and 25 days of trial. The next witness to be questioned is a music manager who belongs to another large family of Arab origin. The man will be invited for August 16, as the presiding judge announced.
Bushido, called Anis Ferchichi, is a key witness. The 42-year-old had his relationship with Arafat A.-Ch. compared to a forced marriage. Bushido had business relationships with the accused for years and claims to have been harassed, coerced and blackmailed by him.
