TV chef Nelson Müller would like an earlier and more conscious approach to food. But sometimes he also sins.
In the fight against widespread diseases such as obesity and diabetes, Nelson Müller (43) calls for a rethinking of education policy. “Nutrition should be discussed much more in school, but also other practical topics such as dealing with money, health of a physical and mental nature”, .
He himself has always paid attention to a healthy diet, he has always cooked fresh and himself. But that also includes “being lazy from time to time and opening up a chicken soup. Or if I come home from a club evening with friends feeling a little shaky, then I don’t see anything wrong with putting a ready-made pizza in the oven.” He also always has a ready-made canned meal in the cupboard for emergencies.
In his food report on ZDF, Müller regularly examines popular foods and shows which foods are good for us. On April 26, May 3 and May 10, at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF, he will address the question of how to live healthily with sugar, fat and protein.
Years of experience
Nelson Müller is an expert in nutrition. He runs two restaurants himself, one of which has a Michelin star. In addition, in the course of his career he has already stood in front of the camera for various cooking shows such as “Lanz kocht!”, “Die Küchenschlacht” or “MasterChef”.
