Klaus Obereder has been director of the ORF regional studio in Linz since the beginning of the year. Yesterday, the 54-year-old presented his new management team, which will take over the strategic direction of the house from April 1st. Stefan Hartl, who previously moderated the early morning and midday ZiB on ORF, is the new editor-in-chief of the state studio and is responsible for the editorial orientation of television and radio.
A trio will support the Eferdinger in the implementation of the new program department, in which program and entertainment will be combined. The 53-year-old Gernot Ecker, who has been with the ORF for 26 years, will coordinate the television department in the state studio in the future.
Romana Nachbauer changes from Ö3 to the state studio and becomes the coordinator of the radio program. The 45-year-old from Waizenkirchen was most recently deputy editor-in-chief of Ö3 and manager of the Ö3 alarm clock.
For the first time there will also be a coordinator for the digital area. The 32-year-old Hannah Haider will focus on the digital transformation of the state studio and will also be responsible for the online agenda in the medium term.
The areas of sport, culture and folk culture are to be weighted more heavily in the program in the future. The new head of sport is Dennis Bankowsky, culture is headed by Katharina Maurer-Huber. Sandra Ohms is to expand the field of folk culture (see also the above report).
State director Obereder sees the new program structure as “a first decisive step for our ORF state studio in the direction of digital change and opening up new audiences.”
