On Tuesday, The Foo Fighters announced that they have canceled their remaining shows. in light of untimely death.

“We regret and share the disappointment that we will not see each other as planned,” they said. “Instead, let us use this time to grieve, to heal, to bring our loved ones closer, and to appreciate all the music and the memories we’ve created together. With love, Foo Fighters.”

Hawkins was found unconscious in his hotel room before the band played in Bogotá on Friday. From there, they had scheduled dates throughout the Americas and Europe.

He had reportedly complained of chest pains before going to his room alone.

Colombian medical authorities have stated that Hawkins had apparently suffered from an enlarged heart muscle, possibly leading to cardiac arrest, and was also reportedly harboring 10 different medications in his system at the time of death.

During an examination, forensic experts found that Hawkins’ heart weighed “at least 600 grams,” twice the average of 300 to 350 grams (three-quarters of a pound), the Daily Mail previously reported.
