Bushido and his wife Anna-Maria are very worried about their unborn triplets and talk about the cruel back and forth.
Rapper Bushido (42) and his wife Anna-Maria Ferchichi (39) are expecting triplets. But what could be so beautiful is a terrible drama with an uncertain outcome, as the couple reveals in a double interview with the magazine “Bunte”.
“The calculated date of birth is December 16, the plan was to bring the babies in October. Now I am afraid that they will stay in the womb until the 29th week, i.e. the beginning of the seventh month, then we would risk the birth,” said so Anna-Maria Ferchichi.
One of the three girls will die anyway because the heart is too weak. It was only a matter of days before the couple learned from the doctors. But that is not the only problem: “If it dies in the womb, the body will probably reject the fetus and the triplets are threatened with premature birth,” she summarizes.
You said yes to a disabled child
The nightmare has been going on for a few months now. “A new diagnosis awaits us with every ultrasound.” In the 18th week of pregnancy, the couple learned from the diagnostic specialist that one girl was “disabled and will probably not survive,” recalls Anna-Maria.
The doctor then showed them the two options: “Let nature do it or, in order not to endanger the other two, consciously kill one child”. The latter was out of the question for the couple. “We all agreed that a handicapped child is a beloved part of our family, too.” They later learned that the girl would not be disabled after all, but she would definitely die. “And there is nothing you can do about it, even though she is healthy.”
The uncertainty persists. “We’re not giving up hope that another miracle will happen after all, and we’re still preparing for a funeral,” added Bushido, adding another gruesome truth.
“I go to two therapists three days a week”
All of this does not leave the otherwise tough musician without a trace. On the contrary. “I’m a wreck, physically and mentally, I’ve lost twelve kilos. When the drama started with the triplets, I got extreme panic attacks. The doctors diagnosed depression and burn-out,” says Bushido in an interview. “I see two therapists three days a week,” he adds.
For ten years through thick and thin
Bushido and Sarah Connors (41) younger sister have been a couple since 2011. A year later the two married; she brought a son into the marriage. So far, the Ferchichis have had twin girls and two sons together, and the mother of five is currently pregnant again with identical triplet girls.
