Ziggy Marley knows how reggae goes. At the age of eleven he played and sang in the “Melody Makers” of his father Bob’s family band, the icon of reggae. On June 21, Ziggy Marley will be performing on the fresh-air stage in the inner courtyard of Linz’s Posthof, and with it a noticeable touch of Bob Marley’s great art will be in the air.
This concert is a highlight of this year’s fresh air season with 25 events from May 26th to September 2nd – across the genres of music, literature and cabaret.
The current corona measures allow 2000 standing and 950 seats to experience the second season of this format on the outdoor area directly on the Posthof site. Last year, 13,000 visitors came to 30 events, this year the Posthof organizers Gernot Kremser and Wilfried Steiner expect a corresponding increase, also because of the great program.
A song recital with Clara Frühstück and Oliver Welter will kick off on May 26th, the following day author Wolf Haas will read from his new burner thriller “Müll”.
As far as the concert offer is concerned, the series is as broad as possible. In addition to Ziggy Marley, the Hamburg indie band “Kettcar” (June 10), children’s songwriter Mai Cocopelli with Family Band (June 11), Nino from Vienna (July 13) and “Mathea” on September 1 are guests . Cabaret fans will also get their money’s worth: Hazel Brugger will be making a guest appearance on June 23 with “Know this woman”, Benedikt Mitmannsgruber from Mühlviertel will perform his “Exodus” on June 25, Stermann and Grissemann will present Loriot’s “Das Ei ist hart” (June 17). . June), and crowd favorite Thomas Stipsits will serve his quasi-best-of called “Stinatzer Delikatessen” on July 1st.
