Elon Musk has kicked Jeff Bezos from the top spot on the Forbes list. Rihanna is also among the billionaires.
According to “Forbes” annual list of billionaires, Tesla boss Elon Musk (50) has now accumulated more money than Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (58).
His current assets amount to 219 billion dollars, i.e. over 201 billion euros. In doing so, he surpassed Bezos, who topped the list last year and whose net worth now stands at $171 billion.
Other well-known names include Bill Gates (66), who is in fourth place with $129 billion (about €118 billion), or Mark Zuckerberg (37), who “first” with $67.3 billion (about €61 billion). comes in 37th place.
Newcomer to the list: Rihanna
This year’s newcomers to the list include Rihanna (34), who is said to own 1.7 billion (about 1.5 billion euros), making her the first billionaire in her home country of Barbados. Peter Jackson (60) is also new to Forbes’ “Billionaires” club. Fewer new billionaires than last year
In total, there have been 236 new billionaires in the world since last year – that’s 87 fewer than a year ago. They come from 34 different countries – most of them, 62 to be precise, from China. Only 33 of the 236 newcomers on the list are women and only eleven of them are self-made,
