Accompanied by the vice president of Emprotur, Julieta Rimoldi; the president of FEEBA, Leonardo Marcasciano; Gabriel Di Tullio, for the Chamber of Chocolatiers; and Lucio Bellora, coordinator of Community Events, the mayor led the presentation of the activities planned for this event.
In this sense, Gennuso pointed out that the National Chocolate Festival “is consolidating Bariloche as a Holy Week destination” and thanked the province of Río Negro, the Chamber of Chocolate Makers, the Chamber of Commerce and Emprotur for committing to the organization of that appeal.
“This festival is consolidating our destination during Holy Week, being an event that drives the arrival of tourism, which is the main objective for which it is carried out,” said the president of the Federation of Companies and Entities of Bariloche and the Andean Zone. (FEEBA), Leonardo Marcasciano.
For his part, Gabriel Di Tullio, from the chamber of chocolatiers, said that “it is extremely important to return to the original format of the Festival prior to the pandemic” and highlighted the work of all the personnel that produces the chocolate: “For them it is a party and they have the opportunity to show what they do at a national level”.
The Chocolate Festival will begin next Thursday, with the “chocolate walk” along Miter Avenue, in the center of San Carlos de Bariloche.
Meanwhile, on Good Friday it will be the turn of the exhibition of the 210-meter chocolate bar, which will exceed the ceiling that had been reached before the pandemic, in 2019.
More than 150 people will participate in the preparation of the mega chocolate bar, including students from the hotel school and the master chocolatiers from the local chocolate shops, who will be in charge of manufacturing some 1,800 kilos of chocolate.
