British Royalty: Princess Anne visits Australia

She is traveling on behalf of Her Majesty: Princess Anne is staying in Australia for several days. The program is diverse.

British Princess Anne (71) traveled Down Under on behalf of the Queen. Prince Charles’ younger sister, 73, attended the opening ceremony of the Royal Easter Show in Sydney on Saturday as a guest of honor at the start of a three-day visit to Australia to officially kick off the event.

The princess first opened the show in 1970 – at that time together with Charles, her mother Queen Elizabeth II and her father Prince Philip, who died exactly one year ago. This time, Anne drove to the event, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, in the same venerable carriage as she did back then.

Accompanied by her husband Timothy Laurence (67), Princess Anne is visiting the Commonwealth of Australia as part of the Queen’s 70th jubilee celebrations (95). The two also want to meet representatives of the fire brigade and people who have been affected by forest fires and the recent floods on Australia’s east coast on Sunday.

Following her visit to Australia, the Queen’s daughter, who bears the title of Princess Royal, will then travel to Papua New Guinea for a further two days.
