CSU boss Markus Söder has been infected with the corona virus, as he announced on Twitter. His trip to the Gulf region falls flat.
Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (55) has tested positive for the corona virus. The CSU boss announced this on April 9th. He therefore had to cancel a trip abroad planned for the coming days.
“Now it has caught me after two years,” tweeted Söder. A PCR test was positive after he had “done quick tests twice a day all week” and they were “always negative”. Even on Saturday morning, a previous test was still negative.
Trip abroad in the Gulf region is cancelled
The value of the PCR test is “by the way, such that infection has so far been extremely unlikely,” explains the politician. “Nevertheless, it’s time to go into isolation. Unfortunately, the trip abroad has been canceled.” It was planned that Söder would embark on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
