With more than 500 artists and 100 free activities, the fifth Biennial of Young Art kicks off

Starting at 4:00 p.m., you can visit the “Terra Incógnita” exhibition, which combines the works of the artist and costume designer Renata Schussheim with the participants of previous editions, Emilia de las Carreras, Dana Ferrari, Nazareno Pereyra and Ramiro Quesada Pons, in the Cronopios room.

In addition, the individual exhibitions of the artists Lukas Alienígena, Carolina Favre, Santiago Paredes, will be exhibited in Rooms J and C. For her part, Mariel Uncal Scotti, inaugurates the collective exhibition “And now, what do we do?”, curated by Taina Azeredo. At the same time, the new façade of the space created by Clorindo Testa, Jacques Bedel and Luis Benedit will be presented, which starts from an image of Schussheim designed especially for this fifth edition of the Biennale.

In the same framework, the exhibitions “IDN” (National Identity) of the UADE, in room 7, and “Common Good” of the National University of Lanús, in room 8, will open. Finally, you can visit “Types and letters, curated by Juan Lo Bianco and Fernanda Cozzi, a look at contemporary Latin American typographic design in room L”, according to La Bienal Prensa.

On the Recoleta terrace there will be early recitals with musicians Rafa Doorish and Honny Tz, followed by T-Dema. The closing will be led by the artist Feli Colina at 8:30 p.m.

On Thursday the 21st, Nahuel Quipildor will present unpublished themes from Soundscapes, “his new work that fuses traditional folklore with popular musical styles,” reported La Bienal. And on Friday the 22nd at the same time, the singer Mora Navarro will bring previews of her new compositions.

The Biennial program also includes readings of poetry and stories in the Patio de los Naranjos by the young writers who participated in this edition. Simultaneously, the film, theater and dance programs will begin.

In the cinema category, the three films produced in this edition with the support of La Biennale have the use of archive material as a common thread and will have their premiere in the Biennial Focus section of BAFICI on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 at the Cosmos cinema. The works will also be screened at El Recoleta on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th with free admission previously reserved on the La Bienal website.

In the theater area, as of April 20, the four stage works will be premiered in different theaters of the City and with four performances per play. It is, according to La Bienal, “four scenic pieces that reflect on life by stream, love, gender debates and power”. Admission is free and free with prior reservation on the website of La Bienal.
