Rudy Giuliani: Because he lied for Trump, he is no longer allowed to work as a lawyer

He is one of Donald Trump’s closest companions and has often bent the truth for him. For this, Rudy Giuliani now collects the receipt from a New York court.

A New York court suspended the bar license of Trump confidante Rudy Giuliani because of his role after the 2020 US presidential election. Giuliani had “in his capacity as attorney for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign team in connection with Trump’s failed re-election attempt in 2020 demonstrably made false and misleading statements to courts, legislators and the public,” it said in the statement of the Appeals court on Thursday in New York. The 77-year-old’s behavior endangers the public interest, so that a repeal is justified until the pending proceedings are finally ended. The suspension of the license to practice relates to Giuliani’s work in New York State.

Giuliani loyal companion of Trump

Trump hired Giuliani in mid-November to lead legal efforts against the result of the presidential election and the victory of Democrat Joe Biden. The lawyer and former New York mayor repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that Trump was deprived of victory over Biden because of a vote stolen by the Democratic Party. Numerous lawsuits by Trump attorneys in various states failed due to a lack of evidence.

Giuliani is a loyal companion of Trump, but got him into trouble several times. He was a central figure in the Ukraine affair, which set off impeachment proceedings against the then president. Giuliani had also actively sought to get Ukraine to investigate Trump’s ultimately victorious challenger Biden.
