“The documentary is on the one hand a way of expressing our thoughts, but also a way of inviting viewers to think, debate and remember”, comments the director Alexander Hartman. “It was quite a challenge to carry out this story that is many years old and that at the same time is extremely painful for all those who were protagonists. The case of José Luis Cabezas has many edges, the public and the private intersect. It was a very important moment in Argentine history that must be remembered and made known to the world because it opens its eyes and invites us to reflect on issues that are not out of date”, he concludes.

On the other hand, the producer vanessa ragone, who has a special bond with this story since his father was a photojournalist and his mother a journalist, comments: “Making a documentary film of this magnitude is the result of an exhaustive research process based on bibliographical, judicial, journalistic sources and, finally, contacting the people who experienced the event first-hand. It was a long and delicate process, with great respect for the facts.” In addition, regarding the choice of the story, he adds: “I consider that the documentary genre has the mandate to tell the necessary stories to preserve the collective memory and, we think that this is a story that should not be forgotten. I think we both feel that these events, so present in society, are always more powerful if they are told from the documentary and in the voice and image of those who lived through them”.
