Cinephile fullness with the opening night of the face-to-face Bafici

With natural enthusiasm, and with a slight disorganization that should not be naturalized, Bafici has returned to the desired presence. So much enthusiasm that, for its inauguration, it had to have two venues, in the Cultural San Martín and in a room of the old Monumental, now converted into a multiplex. In the golden age it was called The Cathedral of Argentine Cinema. That’s where the biggest premieres were given, for example “Orchid Tuesdays.” There, now, almost simultaneously with the other room, the inaugural piece, “Pequeña flor”, by Santiago Mitre, took place. A film that received few applause, but it can be of great interest to psychoanalysts and psychoanalyses, since it allows some quite useful interpretations for current agendas. In addition, Melvin Poupaud and Sergi López fulfill funny characterizations, perhaps as two opposing parts of the unconscious of an unconscious subject, and there is good music, with the resurrected Hervé Vilard and a nice recording of the Sidney Bechet song “Petite fleur”, a beautiful song that the Five Latinos ruined here.
