British pop star Ed Sheeran (31) wants to donate the streaming revenue from a new single for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. This was announced by his management.
The video for the song “2step”, which was released on Friday, was filmed in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv shortly before the outbreak of war. Sheeran recorded the song with US rapper Lil Baby (27). The clip shows how the two musicians move through the nocturnal streets of Kiev surrounded by dancers.
“Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to shoot my video there,” Sheeran said, according to a statement from his management. He stands with Ukraine and will donate the license income from YouTube streams of the video for the Ukraine aid appeal of the Disasters Emergency Committee for a year, the Brit continued.
