Enlazados tango: the love story of a couple of Russian-Argentine dancers who train artists

Milena confessed that she always had the desire to live in Argentina. I went to Argentina in 2012 and spent two years. I started looking for people online to practice the Spanish language, and suddenly Andrés appeared. In the end I didn’t manage to adapt well and went back to Russia, but we still keep in touch,” he shared.

Regarding the relationship between the two and the decision to live in the Slavic country, Andrés explained that they met Milena and then began their relationship as boyfriends. “We returned to Argentinawhere we lived for a couple of years, but this country for a dancer is quite complicated and sacrificed. We decided to get married in Buenos Aires and move back to Russia in 2018“, he recounted.

Andrés and Milena today are not only united by their sentimental relationship, but also by a common undertaking. Together they run the tango company Linked Tango with which they work to add more and more people to the world of the Argentine rhythm for export.

The idea is to transform social dancers into professionals. We were adding people, other subjects such as acting training and other dances. We have had about five shows, one of which has been on the billboard for more than two years in the theaters of St. Petersburg,” said the Argentine teacher and dancer.

Destino Russia is heard on Saturdays at 12 noon (-3 GMT) on M24 in Uruguay (97.9 FM in Montevideo and 102.5 FM in Maldonado).
