In the last hours, several videos released by the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office have emerged, in which Baldwin can be seen rehearsing at the moment before the shot, the moments after the tragedy, and hours later the actor testifying before the police.
In one of the videos, an officer is shown approaching Baldwin on the set of the film. “Are you okay?” Question. “No, actually I’m not,” Baldwin replies.
The officer then explains that Baldwin will need to go to the sheriff’s office for an interview. In a video of more than 20 minutes, Baldwin is seen talking to the officers. The actor recounted that he did a few takes before shooting, noting that each time he assumed it was a “cold weapon” for rehearsal.
“I pull the gun out and when it clears, the barrel clears the holster. I turn and cock the gun. The gun goes off. It should have been a cold gun with no rounds inside or dummy rounds, cosmetic rounds. I pull out the gun… bang. She hits the ground. She falls,” said the actor.
