Former Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs has been diagnosed with cancer, he told his followers on Twitter.
Paul Arthurs (56), the former guitarist of Oasis, has cancer. He was diagnosed with a tumor in his throat. He wrote that he was going to take a break for a while. Tonsil carcinoma was found on him. “But the good news is that it is treatable and I will be starting treatment soon. I will keep you guys updated on how it goes.”
The musician, known as “Bonehead”, was reportedly due to perform with Liam Gallagher (49) at major concerts in Manchester and Knebworth this summer, according to media reports. : “Sending great love to the one and only Bonehead and his family and wishing you a speedy recovery”.

Arthurs formed the band Oasis with Gallagher. Gallagher’s brother Noel (54) joined them soon after. Arthurs recorded three albums with the group, including Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, before quitting the band in 1999 while recording their fourth album, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.
From 2013 to 2014 he was a member of Liam Gallagher’s band Beady Eye. Arthurs also performed frequently live with the star during Gallagher’s solo career, most recently at festivals in 2021. Arthurs also founded the group Parlor Flames and worked as a radio DJ.
