A decade after “Gangnam style”, South Korean singer Psy released a new album

The theme, which mixes electronic music with Latin rhythms, mentions the relief due to the end of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic and shows the massive dances that made Psy famous.

“It’s an album that I’ve prepared for a long time, with a lot of love,” Psy told a press conference about the work he started producing three years ago.

The 44-year-old artist, whose real name is Park Jae-sangalso said that it was Suga who contacted him to collaborate with him on a subject in which the BTS member – whose real name is Moon Yon-gi – was already working.

In this regard, Psy stressed that the collaboration with Suga reminded him that “I used to be a fun and tough musician.”

“Psy 9th” also features South Korean pop names such as Sung Si-kyung, Heize, Crush, Tablo and Hwasa from girl band Mamamoo.

Meanwhile, the agency that represents Psy announced that the video of his viral hit “Gangnam style” has already exceeded 4.4 billion views on the YouTube platform.
