Hollywood actress and UNHCR Goodwill Envoy Angelina Jolie paid a surprise visit to the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on Saturday. “This visit was a surprise for all of us,” regional governor Maxim Kosyzki wrote in the Telegram online service about photos and videos showing the actress playing with children and posing with volunteers.

According to Kosyzki, Jolie was at a hospital visiting children injured in the rocket attack on the Kramatorsk train station. She also talked to volunteers who provided psychological help for people who had fled to Lviv from other parts of the country.

The actress was later spotted in a café in town. “I drink coffee and see Angelina Jolie in Lviv!” wrote the surprised Lviv resident Maya Pidhorezka to a video that she published on Facebook.
