Australian rock singer Nick Cave (64) has made the death of his son Jethro Lazenby public.
“It is with great sadness that I confirm that my son Jethro has died,” wrote the musician in a statement quoted by the British news agency PA on Monday. There was initially no further information about the circumstances of the death. Cave asked for privacy.
Lazenby was only 31 years old. Cave’s son, who, according to the Guardian, is said to have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, was only released from prison over the weekend, according to the newspaper.
