But in addition to those consecrated names -there are also Guillermo Roux, Emilio Pettoruti, Adolfo Nigro, Leónidas Gambartes-, the collection includes emerging artists and winners of the last Manuel Belgrano Plastic Arts Salons, and includes paintings, serigraphs, drawings, sculptures, engravings and photographs.

Thus, with pieces of classic and contemporary Argentine art, which come from private collections or donated by artists, next Thursday at 0 am the annual auction organized since 1999 by the Association of Friends of the Sívori Museum will open.

The appointment, which will last until May 26 at 0 a.m., will be through the website www.amigosmuseosivori.org.ar/remate, where you can see the offers of this edition. Each work of the auction is accompanied by the information of the piece, the biography of the artists and the certificate of authenticity.

In the words of the president of the Association of Friends of the Sívori Museum, Irma Muñoz de Muslera, “the auction enables the action of the Association of Friends in its collaborative role with the museological program of the Sívori Museum, and it is possible thanks to the generosity of the artists, who donate 50% of the final sale price of their works for the benefit of the Museum”.

Leading the curatorship and organization of the auction is Telma Satz, who explains that “the objective of this event is to promote the best national art, reflected in the creations of our great masters, historical avant-gardes, valued contemporary artists and representatives of emerging languages, and simultaneously raise funds to support the work of the Eduardo Sívori Museum”.

The auction also includes donated works by Mirta Kupferminc, Gisela Banzer, Juan Andrés Videla, Néstor Goyanes, Mariano Sapia, last winners of the National Hall. There are also works by Martín Di Girolamo, Lorena Faccio, Cristian Mac Entyre, Tulio De Sagastizábal, Mariana Villafañe and Raúl Mazzoni, or sculptures by Raúl Farco, Claudia Aranovich, Bastón Díaz, Juan Astica, Silvina Benguria, Liliana Golubinsky, Adrián Carril, Gustavo López Armentía, Blas Castagna, Eugenio Daneri, Leopoldo Presas, Líbero Badíi and Onofrio Pacenza.
