Football superstar Tom Brady (44) is said to be jokingly criticized and ridiculed by other celebrities in a Netflix special he produced himself as a candidate.
In the American format, in which celebrities have to endure jokes from other celebrities and are thus “roasted” – i.e. grilled – the “three-time Super Bowl loser” is supposed to sit in the so-called “hot seat”, like Robbie Praw, Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, announced. The Netflix special will be called Greatest Roasts of All Time: Groat. No wonder Tom Brady will be the nominee – the seven-time Super Bowl winner is dubbed the “Groat” (greatest of all time).
“It’s a huge thrill to be working on this project with the greatest football player of all time,” said Praw. “No one is better at taking a beating and still coming out victorious, so we know the roast will be a no-brainer for Brady.” The Netflix series is slated for release in 2023.
