Hape Kerkeling: Karl Lauterbach should go to the hairdresser

Hape Kerkeling gave a few practical tips for SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach on Sandra Maischberger’s talk show.

Hape Kerkeling (56) is back: In the talk show by Sandra Maischberger (54) in Das Erste, the entertainer made his first TV appearance in years. He gave some well-intentioned tips to another TV face: the SPD man Karl Lauterbach (58).

The politician and doctor do his job “competently”, but he needs a new haircut, so Kerkeling: “I think his hairstyle doesn’t work.” The comedian thinks it is only fair to point this out – after all, Angela Merkel (67) had long been blasphemed about her hairstyle.

“This is too much”

In addition, Kerkeling would advise Lauterbach to appear on TV only once a week: “If I were his media advisor, I would say: less is more. To be on TV every twelve minutes, I would say, is too much.”

Kerkeling also reported how he spent the months of the pandemic: almost exclusively in his apartment in Bonn. On the subject of Corona deniers, Kerkeling said: “Anyone who says there is no such thing as this pandemic does not represent an opinion, but is just crazy!”. He is now also vaccinated: “It is a real blessing for mankind that a vaccine was developed so quickly.”

Cats as a rescue

He has not left the country for 16 months, explains Kerkeling. He has probably not seen his cat Kitty for that long, who is allowed to roam freely through the Italian Umbria and is currently being looked after by neighbors. He wrote the book “Paws off the table! My cats, other cats and me” about her and his other cats. In it he reports, among other things, of the healing effects of cats on the psyche, which he was able to experience himself after his mother’s suicide: “I got this hangover and was also able to live out my grief well.”
