Valdez is the director of the documentary The Sentence, Sundance Audience Award Winner, on the corrosive effect of mandatory minimum sentences on convicts and their families. That project won an Emmy and was released by HBO.

Santana is credited with blending genres with the effect of breaking down barriers. In addition to 10 Grammy Awards, he has won three Latin Grammy Awards, he is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, winner of the Billboard Century Award and recipient of the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors.
Santana is listed at number 15 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list; and he joined the Rolling Stones as one of only two bands to have a Top 10 album in every decade since the 1960s. His most recent album, “Blessings and Miracles”presents collaborations with Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, Steve Winwoodand others.
