The biggest anniversary in history is upon us for Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the British royal family. However, while the Queen is the protagonist of the celebrations, she will not attend all of the dates.
Queen Elizabeth II was most recently concerned when she missed the opening of the British Parliament for the first time in 59 years. Prince Charles stepped in for her, a little later the monarch appeared in public again, and tempers were calmed.
Queen Elizabeth II: Various Jubilee Plans
But the Queen will also use her 70th anniversary as an opportunity to delegate tasks to her family members. The British newspaper “The Times” writes that plans are currently being finalized. Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne are to give the royal salute during the military parade on Horse Guards Parade. The salute is just part of the Trooping the Color parade that will kick off the Platinum Jubilee celebrations on June 2nd.
Allegedly, plans are currently in place for the Queen to take a carriage to Buckingham Palace, inspect the military troops she commands, and then retire for the time being. Later she should then wave to the people on the balcony of the palace. It should also be discussed that Queen Elizabeth II only takes part in the balcony greeting, but otherwise stays out of the celebration.
Queen retires
Royal fans can still be curious when and how they can take a look at the monarch. What is certain is that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will travel to Great Britain with their children Archie and Lilibet. However, they will not appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace following the decision to only allow royals on public duties. Prince Andrew is also excluded from part of the celebrations.
For several days, the whole of Britain will be in a state of emergency to celebrate the Queen’s record reign.
