The Pirelli calendar is coming back – photographed by Bryan Adams. Cher, Grimes and Iggy Pop stood in front of the camera for him.
After his Corona break, the Pirelli calendar comes back – the photos for it are provided by the musician Bryan Adams (61). According to media reports, artists such as Cher (75), Rita Ora (30), Iggy Pop (74), Jennifer Hudson (39), St. Vincent (38) and Grimes (33) were in front of his camera. The theme of the calendar is apparently “On The Road” and is supposed to show the stars in typical scenes on tour.
He has been on tour “for 45 years”, “because the streets, traveling, waiting in hotels, hours behind the stage belong to the life of a musician”. The calendar should appear in November, and Normani (25), Bohan Phoenix (25), Saweetie (28) and Kali Uchis (27) should also be able to see it.
Bryan Adams has also photographed the Queen
Bryan Adams has been behind the camera for years. He has already had celebrities such as Amy Winehouse (1983-2011), Mick Jagger (78) and even Queen Elizabeth II (95) in front of the lens. His pictures have been published in magazines such as “Vogue”, “GQ” and “Harper’s Bazaar”. Adams also brought out some books with his work.
The Pirelli calendar, also known as “The Cal”, has been published since 1964 and is considered a collector’s item. Pirelli hires great photographers year after year: Helmut Newton, Karl Lagerfeld, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz have already been behind the camera for the calendar. In 2021 there was no new Pirelli calendar due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the tire manufacturer donated 100,000 euros for virus research.
