The series is about a father and daughter who learn that they have both been secretly working as CIA agents for years. They realize that their entire relationship has been a lie and they don’t really know each other at all. Forced to team up as partners, the series tackles universal family dynamics against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor.
In principle, the plot of the series is reminiscent of “True Lies” (1994), the actor’s successful film in which he played a spy who hid his true identity from everyone including his children and his wife, played by Jamie Lee Curtis.
For a long time it was rumored that the film would have a continuation and the series format was a great possibility. We will have to wait for the premiere of this project to see if it is the unofficial sequel to that film or if they simply share the same spirit, a perfect combination of action, humor and family ties complicated by the secrets between them.
