The Queen has recently appeared less at public events. Now the monarch appears more frequently again. And also appeared at the traditional Chelsea Flower Show.
Queen Elizabeth II (96) was driven around the traditional Chelsea Flower Show in London in a golf buggy.
In the pink suit, the monarch was shown highlights of the show on Monday afternoon on her open, mobile pedestal by Keith Weed, President of the Royal Horticultural Society. From Tuesday the flower show is open to the public. Until recently, it was unclear whether the Queen would appear. The palace now only announces whether the queen is coming shortly before events to avoid disappointment.
In the past few days, the Queen has been much more present after she had previously canceled many events – including the traditional opening of Parliament – and had other family members represent her. On some dates, the Queen showed up with a cane. However, she is reportedly refusing a wheelchair despite her occasional mobility issues. It is eagerly awaited in London how often the Queen will appear at the celebrations for her jubilee in early June.
