André Rieu returns to Argentina, the violinist who fills stadiums playing waltzes by Johann Strauss

As could be seen on his last visit to our country, in 2018, at Luna Park, at the shows of Andre Rieu The most famous creations of Johann Strauss are performed, but also songs from musicals such as “El Mago de Sickle” or operas such as “Madame Butterfly”; and popular songs such as “Cielito Lindo”, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, “Tutti Frutti” by Little Richard, and “Can’t Stop Falling in Love”, the ballad made popular by Elvis Presley, among others.

All this in a colorful show in which there are small choreographies, some recurring gags and long speeches by Rieu himself, who narrates stories alluding to each of the compositions that are performed or to the accompanying orchestra.

This variety and dynamics earned the violinist great popularity, with massive concerts around the world, where audiences dance and chant the famous classic waltzes.

“It is true that in most orchestras everyone is always very serious. I think there is no need for it to be that way. People write me letters and tell me that they need two weeks to ‘come down’ after the concert and that makes me makes them happy because it’s exactly what I’m looking for. I want to reach people’s hearts, make them happy, make them cry. In short, move them. And that’s what I do,” Rieu told Télam in an interview in 2017 in Chile.

The locations for this new performance in Argentina are available through the site www.movistararena.com.ar.
