She has never been at the top of the album charts in Germany: Now Billie Eilish has made it with “Happier Than Ever”.
Pop superstar Billie Eilish placed an album at number one in the German charts for the first time.
The 19-year-old US singer managed that with her new album “Happier Than Ever”. Her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” had climbed to position three in 2019, as GfK Entertainment reported on Friday.
The trio Die Schlagerpiloten secured second place in the album charts with “Blue Hawaii”. Bronze went to the posthumous Prince release “Welcome 2 America” – the US singer, who died in 2016, recorded the full album in 2010, but then banned it to the archive.
Inga Rumpf also had a successful start in the charts: The German rock pioneer, who has just turned 75, follows in fourth place with her new album “Universe Of Dreams”. The Amigos improve from eighth to fifth place with “Freedom”.
Ed Sheeran dominates the singles charts with “Bad Habits”. Rapper Montez enters second place with “Auf & Ab”. The previous week’s winners RAF Camora & Bonez MC (“Blue Light”) are now on three.
