Chano’s last public appearance was at the wedding of Jorge Lanata and Elba Marcovecchio, on April 23, when he arrived at the party after the civil and religious ceremonies were over, together with Bárbara Lanata, the journalist’s eldest daughter.
Chano had already been hospitalized at the Otamendi Sanatorium ten months ago when he was shot in the middle of a psychotic outbreak at his house in the Buenos Aires party of Exaltación de la Cruz.
Last April, two days before attending the wedding, the musician returned to the province of Entre Ríos, to a rehabilitation clinic where he continued his treatment.
