Hollywood legend Ray Liotta is dead

US actor Ray Liotta is dead, the US television network NBC reported on Thursday evening. The Hollywood star was 67 years old. The actor was in the Dominican Republic to film a new movie and is believed to have died in his sleep. He is survived by a daughter and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo.

He was known, among other things, from the film “Good Fellas – Three Decades in the Mafia” from 1990. He starred alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in the film directed by legendary director Martin Scorsese. The year before, he starred opposite Kevin Costner in the baseball film Field of Dreams.

Many well-known roles

Other well-known films in which Liotta took part are “Operation Dumbo” (1995) and “Cop Land” with Sylvester Stallone (1997). Liotta won an Emmy in 2005 for a guest appearance in the medical series “Emergency Room”. In recent years, Liotta has appeared in guest roles in the television series “Young Sheldon” and “Modern Family”.
