The AmfAR foundation is committed to the fight against AIDS and was able to raise 230 million dollars for the good cause in the last few years alone. This year’s gala event took place in the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes. Those who wanted to be there could secure a ticket for 12,000 euros, but these were of course very popular.
Almost everyone who has rank and name in the world of celebrities cavorted at the benefit event yesterday. No wonder, since most of the stars are based on the Côte d’Azur anyway and are visiting the 75th Cannes International Film Festival, which will last until May 29th.

After we were allowed to see the singer Kylie Minogue again at the film festival, one can also look forward to a rare appearance at the AmfAR gala: Christina Aguilera was once again able to marvel at the red carpet after a long time. Of course, it’s no wonder that the Queen of Pop wore an impressive snake dress and made a skilful appearance. Also notable were the sheer dresses worn by singer Charli XCX and model Joan Smalls.
A favorite label of the stars was Mônot
A fashion label also attracted a lot of attention: Mônot. Many celebrities wore the creations of the Lebanese designer Eli Mizrahi, who stands for spectacular cut-out creations and skin-tight fabrics. As a political refugee, the designer came to New York at the age of 13. Over time, he built up a large network of contacts in the fashion industry in the USA, until he sold his creations to women himself. At least five celebrities wore his designs at yesterday’s AmfAR gala alone. Big names like Eva Longoria, Nina Dobrev and Cara Delevingne, among others.
Model Milla Jovovich even expertly made a political statement on the red carpet at the amfAR gala by wearing a dress by Ukrainian label Lever Couture.
