“True detective”: Jodie Foster will star in season 4 of the HBO series

The series centers on detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro as they seek to solve the case of six men operating the Tsalal Arctic Research Station who disappear without a trace as the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska. The pair will have to confront the darkness within them and delve into the haunted truths that lie buried beneath the eternal ice.

The series marks Foster’s first major television role as an adult. The actress, who was 12 years old when she starred in Taxi driverappeared in series like Gunsmoke, My Three Sons and the spinoff of Paper Moon on ABC as a child, but hasn’t had a leading role on the small screen since 1975. She did, however, lend her voice to shows like Frasier, The X-Files Y The Simpson and has directed television episodes such as Orange Is The New Black, Black Mirror and Tales From The Loop.

True Detectivewhich was created and written by Nic Pizzolattoran for three seasons between 2014 and 2019. The third season aired on HBO in 2019 and starred Mahershala Ali Y Stephen Dorff, set in the Ozarks. It was the continuation of the series starring Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn 2015 and the first season, starring Matthew McConaughey Y Woody Harrelson.
