Boris Becker: No appeal against his prison sentence

According to his lawyer, Boris Becker has decided not to appeal against the two and a half years in prison.

Former tennis pro Boris Becker (54) has decided to accept the prison sentence imposed on him by a London court without appeal. This was announced by his lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser in a statement from which, among other things, quoted. Accordingly, Becker had come to the decision “not to appeal against the conviction of the Southwark Crown Court concerning him”.

Becker “accepts both the jury’s verdict and the sentence imposed by the court,” it said. The exceptional athlete was sentenced to two and a half years in prison at the end of April this year for delaying bankruptcy. He had previously been found guilty of 4 out of 24 charges.

Already misplaced once

Immediately following this verdict, he was taken to the notorious Wandsworth Prison in London, but he is no longer there. Moser also confirmed to him that Becker had been transferred. Accordingly, he was recently accommodated in HM Prison Huntercombe. Around 400 offenders are currently serving their sentences in the men’s prison in Nuffield, Oxfordshire, England.
