Cazzu released “Nena Trampa”, her new album, and announced a world tour

This new material produced by the artist together with producer Nico Cotton, has the contribution of some stellar collaborators such as Randy and De La Ghetto in “Peli-Culeo”; Brray, Ankhal and Luar La L in “Fulete”, as well as María Becerra in “Maléficent”.

With the idea of rekindling the flame of trap in the face of the incursions into reggaeton by some of his colleagues on the scene, Cazzu starts from that intention to try other nearby genres such as drill and malianteo, and even with a southern milonga that provides another climate in the middle of “Nena Trampa”, the second full-length after “Error 93” for which he received a Latin Grammy nomination.

The singer from Jujuy, who also brings together the contributions of other producers such as Caleb Calloway in “Fulete” and Big One in “La Trampa”, continues betting on audiovisual super-productions such as the ones she produced for the previews of “Jefa” and “Maleficent”, promoting an artistic and aesthetic concept that worked side by side with the plastic artist Toto Tauer and the filmmaker Facundo Ballve, among others.

Ballve himself directed the clip for “Nena Trampa” starring a performance by Kotho Nuñez and choreographed by Denise De La Roche.

“If I had to choose a qualifying adjective for this album, it would be ?warlike?. I chose to use a lot of weapon sounds and the color of the songs is mostly dark. The music has something of a cinematographic quality, which invites the listener to imagine a scene, a context. Drama, weapons, suspense, tools that create audible images,” pointed out the protagonist.

About the speech, he added, “although it is not surprising, it is feminist” and added, in that sense, that “this time feminism is much more literal” from “using the most masculine part to send a message of feminism”.

“With this, my wish, always, is to invite men to listen to music that speaks of women in the first person, without feeling that it is not for them. It is a satire, an invasion of their masculinity, but at the same time a search for empathy, union through subliminal messages”, he concluded.
