Cardinals defenseman End JJ Watt (33) reacted to the “appalling news” and “simply tragic,” Watt wrote.
Gladney had only signed with the team in March and had not yet played an official game with his Cardinals teammates. He was dropped from the Minnesota Vikings roster last year after being charged with assault. According to ESPN, he was found not guilty by a Dallas jury in March and signed with the Cardinals shortly thereafter.
Details of the accident have not yet been released.
