Three hearts and little feet: ex-biathlete Magdalena Neuner is happy to have offspring.
Congratulations to the record biathlon world champion Magdalena Neuner: After announcing her “summer baby” in February, the 34-year-old posted a photo of six colorful footprints on Instagram and commented on the post with three colorful hearts.
The two largest feet, which are shown in pink on the outside of the sheet, are likely to be those of her eldest daughter Verena Anna, who was born in May 2014. The dark blue prints in between could be from son Josef, who was born in November 2016. The third feet in the middle are light blue. It is unclear whether the color is an indication of the sex of the newborn. The two-time Olympic champion and today’s TV expert did not initially provide any further details.
Neuner had ended her career after the 2012 home World Cup in Ruhpolding. The twelve-time world champion from Wallgau has been working as a biathlon television expert for ARD for several years. Neuner and her husband Josef Holzer have been married since March 2014. She and the master carpenter, whom she has known since elementary school, have been in a relationship since 2009.
On Instagram, Neuner was congratulated by other top athletes, among others: The fencer Britta Heidemann posted a heart next to Neuner’s photo. Cross-country skier and biathlete Evi Sachsenbacher-Stehle wrote: “Congratulations to you five.”
