The Innviertel-based boiler manufacturer Hargassner, based in Weng (district of Braunau), has acquired: The Rakoczy Stal company, based in Poland, is integrated into the Hargassner group of companies. The family company announced this by mail today, Monday. Hargassner does not provide any information on the purchase price.
Rakoczy Stal employs 75 people, the company specializes in the production of pellet heating systems, mainly for Eastern Europe. When asked, Hargassner did not name any rakoczy sales. Rakoczy will remain as an independent company.
With the acquisition, Hargassner wants to further expand its presence in Eastern Europe: According to the company, there is great potential in this market. In the previous year, as reported, Hargassner took over the Gilles competition from Gmunden and integrated it into the group as Hargassner Industries. Gilles is also active in Eastern and Southern Europe.
Hargassner sales in 2020 were more than 100 million euros. Hargassner is one of the largest boiler manufacturers in Austria: 14,000 units were sold in the previous year, 2020. For this year the company is expecting an increase. The export quota is 75 percent: boilers are sold as far as Japan and New Zealand.
