ORF 1 achieved a market share of up to 66 percent. With these dream rates, the football evening should easily be among the most watched programs of this year.
There is currently no preliminary rating – but ranges of two million viewers are rare in Austria. In the past year, the ORF broke this limit only twice, namely at the time when the corona crisis broke out and the Austrians’ need for information was high: “ZiB” on March 15, 2020 reached 2.7 million viewers, “State today” per day after that 2.2 million. The special “ZiB” for the terrorist attack in Vienna on November 2nd saw “only” 1.9 million, the men’s slalom in Schladming 1.6 million, the downhill run in Kitzbhel 1.5 million and the opening of Opera Ball 1, 4 million.
